John Goldyn
Vice President of Loss Prevention – Gabe’s
John Goldyn is the VP of the Loss Prevention team that covers all store locations along with 5 Distribution centers and 2 Corporate offices. John joined Gabes in June 2021 as the VP of Loss Prevention.
John is responsible for all Loss Prevention field members that support our store teams, our investigations team along with the Distribution Loss Prevention Team
Prior to joining Gabes, John held leadership positions across the retail sector. His last role prior to joining Gabes was the SR Director of LP, Stores for Ulta Beauty. During his time at Ulta John had the opportunity to develop a ORC team long with the initial planning for their Enterprise Protection Center. Prior to Ulta, John was the Loss Prevention Director for Bevmo locations in CA, AZ, and Washington State. John held various roles over 15 years while at Family Dollar Stores. Those roles included both Operations and Loss Prevention positions where he was the Regional Vice President of Operations based in Phoenix AZ before leaving Family Dollar. John’s career flourished while at Family Dollar as he was promoted from Regional Loss Prevention Manager to Sr Regional LP Manager and then as the Divisional VP of Loss Prevention over the South and Southwest areas. John began her career at Trak Auto Stores, where he served in a variety of retail operations before he began his Loss Prevention career at Trak Auto.
In addition to his work at Gabe’s and in Loss Prevention field, John’s career spans over various other retail Loss Prevention positions to include roles with Pep Boys Automotive and Home Depot Stores. Early on in his career John was a Law Enforcement Officer in Illinois along with training as a POC (paid on call) firefighter for New Lenox Il. John’s love for business drove him to owning and operating his own automotive business in the early part of 1990. John currently is involved with Autism Speaks where he helps supports the program in the West Virginia area. John completed his bachelor’s degree in business management through the University of Phoenix.
