Ryan McTaggart is currently the Group Supervisor (GS) over Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tampa’s Global Trade Investigations Group. GS McTaggart began his career with the United States Border Patrol (USBP) in 2007 where he was assigned to the Chula Vista Station in San Diego, California.  GS McTaggart spent most of his USBP career assigned to multiagency task forces including the Gang Enforcement Team, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program, and the Border Crime Suppression Team.  

In 2016, GS McTaggart began his career with HSI in McAllen, Texas, where he was assigned to the Counter Proliferations Investigation (CPI) Group, which later became the Rio Grande Valley CPI Task Force.  In 2020, GS McTaggart transferred to HSI Las Vegas where he was assigned to the Border Enforcement Security Task Force.  While assigned to the Border Enforcement Security Task Force he conducted investigations across multiple program areas including investigations of Organized Retail Crime and South American Theft Groups.  In addition to his duties as a case agent, GS McTaggart also served as a primary Undercover Agent specializing in international operations.
